Skiing at Hemlock Valley
For the more adventurous people, come and try the advanced slopes at Sasquatch Mountain Resort (formerly known as Hemlock Valley). There are also ski lessons provided for the desiring beginner as they can test their newly learned skills on the beginner and intermediate slopes. After a fun day of skiing, settle down in the warmth of the cafeteria or the on-house pub which serves top quality food to match the top quality activities.
Fishing in the Fraser River
Craving a bit of peace and quiet? Rent a small boat or a canoe and take a fishing expedition down in the Fraser River. What better way to relax than to be surrounded by quiet and the tranquil scenes of nature out in the river?
Strolling around the Minter Gardens
Stroll around the various areas of Minter Gardens and take in the beautiful sites of vibrant coloured plants and flowers. While strolling through the garden, learn more about your favourite flora and the best way to plan an equally beautiful garden of your own! It’s a must to also stop by the quaint little Callicarpa Café for a bite to eat after the stroll.
Hiking the Othello-Quintette Tunnels
Get your blood pumping with a nice hike through the gothic like Othello-Quintette Tunnels. Famed for being in several movies, the spooky-esque tunnels are guaranteed to be a vision to see. A tip, don’t go hiking there in the dark!
Driving up Fraser’s Canyon to Hell’s Gate
Get a rush by being suspended over the wide Fraser River with Hell’s Gate air tram. While you’re there, make sure to take the opportunity to learn more about the history of Hell’s Gate as it was discovered by some of the well-known Canadian explorers past our time.
